Experience
Rodger Tighe focuses his practice on all aspects of finance, including bank financing, project financing and the restructuring of financial transactions. Throughout his years of practice Mr. Tighe has been involved in the restructuring of all types of credit facilities, and most recently he has been involved with reorganizing structured real estate financings, including bridge loans, mezzanine loans and preferred equity investments.
Mr. Tighe is a graduate of Assumption College and the University of Virginia School of Law. He began his legal career as an associate at Cullen and Dykman LLP in 1973. In 1978, he left the firm to work for Citibank, N.A. and then for The Chase Manhattan Bank. He was a partner at Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle (1985-1989) and Dewey Ballantine (1989-1999). He then returned to Cullen and Dykman LLP and is presently a partner in the firm's Banking Department.
Mr. Tighe is the original author of "Structuring Commercial Loan Agreements" and was selected by Euromoney magazine as one of the outstanding finance lawyers in America. He is currently in The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers. Throughout the years Mr. Tighe has lectured on a variety of topics related to finance, including lender liability, structuring credit facilities, perfection of security interests and exercising of rights and remedies. He taught courses in bank financing at the Fordham Law School for five years.
