Mandy Xu


Mandy Xu is an associate in the firm’s Banking Department. She provides legal advice and practical guidance on operational, compliance, regulatory and other matters to banks and other financial institutions. Her experience includes product development and maintenance, day-to-day operations, marketing material review, communication with regulatory agencies, and transactional contract review. She advises clients on a wide variety of regulatory compliance matters under various laws and regulations at both Federal and state level. Ms. Xu is also experienced in mortgage rules and regulations implemented by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau under the Dodd-Frank Act, including the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule, Ability to Repay/Qualified Mortgage Rule, Mortgage Servicing Rules and Loan Originator Compensation Requirements.  

Past Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Xu worked as an in-house lawyer for Bank of China New York Branch Legal and Compliance Department, where she performed transactional contract review and negotiation, drafted internal policy and procedures, advised business departments on regulatory compliance issues including anti-money laundering matters, and assisted the Chief Compliance Officer responding to requests or inquiries made by regulators during compliance examinations.

During law school, Ms. Xu interned for Judge Roger N. Rosengarten of the Queens County Supreme Court and Judge Ingrid Joseph of the Kings County Civil Court.
