Cody A. Brittain

Associate

As an associate of the firm’s Construction Litigation group, Mr. Brittain specializes in the representation of property owners and commercial contractors in disputes arising from construction projects. These disputes include alleged property damage and personal injury, as well as claims arising from commercial contracts and insurance policies.

Mr. Brittain has had great success with motion practice and appellate advocacy. He successfully moved for dismissal of a large number of lawsuits before the Supreme Court of the State of New York, and he participated in the defense of many of these dismissals on appeal. In addition, Mr. Brittain vigorously represents his clients throughout the discovery process (including depositions) and assists partners in trial preparation. Mr. Brittain also has experience in products liability, general commercial litigation, and real estate transactions.

Past Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brittain practiced at a boutique firm in Manhattan which specialized in the defense of premises owners and general contractors in tort disputes.
