Ms. Moughal concentrates her practice on matters related to trusts and estates, probate procedure and administration of trusts and estates of decedents. She has extensive experience in Surrogate’s Courts throughout New York on a variety of contested matters and proceedings. Ms. Moughal is actively involved in bar associations in the Trusts and Estates community.
Before coming to Cullen and Dykman LLP, Ms. Moughal was a judicial clerk to Hon. Peter J. Kelly at Queens Surrogate’s Court working closely with the judge in handling complex estate litigation matters. Ms. Moughal has previous experience in the private sector at Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles, LLP, where she assisted clients with will and trust drafting, wealth management, elder law, Medicaid and tax planning.
While in law school, Ms. Moughal served as a Surrogate’s Scholar to Hon. Edward W. McCarty III at Nassau County Surrogate’s Court and was a judicial fellow at Queens Surrogate’s Court to Hon. Peter J. Kelly. Ms. Moughal also interned with New York State Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman’s office.
Professional & Community Activities
Ms. Moughal founded the Trusts and Estates Law Society at Hofstra Law School and was Business and Communications Editor of Hofstra Law School’s American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) Law Journal.
