Anna K. Vikse
Ms. Vikse is an associate in the Labor and Municipal departments of the firm. Ms. Vikse represents employers in discrimination hearings at many levels, including the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New York City and Nassau County Commissions on Human Rights, the United States Department of Labor, the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Public Employee Relations Board, the National Labor Relations Board, and the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board. Ms. Vikse frequently reviews and drafts employee manuals, and negotiates and drafts severance agreements on behalf of employers. She enjoys working closely with clients to achieve workable solutions to their labor and employment issues.
As part of her municipal practice, Ms. Vikse represents local villages in tax certiorari matters and Small Claims Assessment Review hearings. She also advises villages in zoning and land use matters.
Ms. Vikse has experience in many areas of labor and employment law, including Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the NLRA, the FMLA, New York State labor laws and wage and hour laws.
Past Experience
Ms. Vikse completed a clerkship with the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges in Boston, Massachusetts, where her primary focus was in federal workers’ compensation and whistleblower law, including Sarbanes Oxley.
