Erin Phelan Tregarthen
Ms. Tregarthen is an associate in the firm's Commercial Litigation group. She represents corporate, utility and banking clients in litigation matters including breach of contract, real property disputes, federal banking statute claims, mortgage fraud and commercial and contested residential foreclosures. She also represents institutional lenders in loan sales and matters involving bank owned real estate, including violation hearings and real estate sales.
Past Experience
Ms. Tregarthen previously worked in the firm’s Banking Department and has extensive experience representing banks and other financial institutions on commercial and residential real estate financing and other lending transactions, including U.S. Small Business Administration loans, lines of credit, equipment financing, loan renegotiation and workouts. She has also represented individuals and business entities in the purchase, sale and financing of real estate properties.
While at Hofstra Law School, Ms. Tregarthen served as a Notes and Comments Editor of the Hofstra Law Review. She also worked as a law clerk in-house for a savings bank where she handled compliance, regulatory and corporate governance matters.
