John S. Bruzina
John S. Bruzina is an associate in the Banking department at Cullen and Dykman LLP, where he represents commercial lending institutions in financing transactions involving loans secured by multi-family and commercial real estate located in New York and other states.
Mr. Bruzina negotiates and drafts various provisions of mortgage loan agreements, notes, credit-line agreements, exceptions to non-recourse guaranty agreements, environmental indemnities, releases, subordination agreements, and other loan documentation. Mr. Bruzina conducts all due diligence, including review of title, borrowing entities, and other issues affecting the lender’s security interest. He closes loans involving individual borrowers, privately held LLC and LP borrowers, and cooperative corporations.
Past Experience
During law school, Mr. Bruzina served as a judicial intern for Judge Bill Schuette of the Michigan Court of Appeals and as a judicial intern for Judge Thomas Boyd of the 55B District Court of Michigan. He also served as the Managing Editor of Publication for the Journal of Business and Securities Law.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Bruzina worked professionally for several years in transportation and logistics, holding various sales and managerial positions with progressive responsibility. During this time, he negotiated transportation service agreements on both the sales and purchasing sides, and he directed P&L performance at several operations throughout the Midwest.
