Matthew G. Roseman
Mr. Roseman heads Cullen and Dykman’s
Creditors’ Rights Department. Mr.
Roseman has represented debtors, secured creditors, landlords and acquirers of
assets in bankruptcy proceedings throughout the United States since 1988. He was lead counsel in the Chapter 11
proceeding of a major heavy construction contractor in the metropolitan
area. In this proceeding over
$500,000,000.00 of claims were successfully administered. Most recently, he
represented a regional lender is a series of related Chapter 11 proceedings
through which a portfolio of 16 apartment buildings were sold at auction in
approximately 8 months from the filing of the petitions. He also has successfully argued a case of
first impression before the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd
Circuit involving an issue of bankruptcy procedure. Over his years of practice, Mr. Roseman has
advised debtors and creditors in corporate reorganizations involving both
public corporations and privately held businesses. He currently serves as general counsel to
several companies that he has advised in their acquisition or reorganization
and has developed a sub-specialty of representing construction companies and
contractors in bankruptcy proceedings and workouts.
