Paul A. Michels
Mr. Michels has been a member of the firm’s Banking/Real Estate Department for over 32 years, including 25 years as partner. During this time, Mr. Michels has handled a myriad number of real property conveyance transactions, including (i) the sale and acquisition of commercial property (including tax-free exchanges), (ii) leasehold interests, including the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases on behalf of both property owners and tenants and (iii) construction, zoning and land use.
In addition to his extensive experience in all aspects of real property transactions, Mr. Michels has represented a significant number of large and small lending institutions, as well as borrowers, in a wide array of financing and credit transactions, encompassing commercial lending, mortgage lending, asset based lending, industrial revenue bonds and other tax exempt financing, debt restructuring, participations and syndications.
