Paul A. Michels
Mr. Michels has been a member of the firm’s Banking/Real Estate Department for over 29 years, including 22 years as partner. During this time, Mr. Michels has handled a large number of property conveyance transactions, including the sale and acquisition of real property (including tax-free exchanges) and leasehold interests as well as the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases on behalf of both property owners and tenants.
In addition to his extensive experience in all aspects of real property transactions, Mr. Michels has represented a significant number of large and small lending institutions, as well as borrowers, in a wide array of financing and credit transactions, including commercial lending, mortgage lending, asset based lending, industrial revenue bonds and other tax exempt financing, debt restructuring, participations and syndications.
