Ruth O'Connor
Ruth O’Connor practices with the firm’s Commercial Litigation department where she represents mortgage lenders, mortgage servicers and other entities in all phases of mortgage foreclosure and enforcement involving residential, multi-family and commercial mortgage loans, loans covering cooperative apartment units and tax lien foreclosures. Ms. O’Connor’s wide range of experience in the foreclosure industry encompasses considerable court practice as well as assisting and counseling clients in the preparation and negotiation of forbearance and loan modification agreements and compliance with the dynamic foreclosure rules in New York. Her previous position as supervising attorney with a title company specializing in examining title of foreclosed properties provides an additional dimension to her knowledge of foreclosure practice.
Past Experience
Upon her graduation from law school, Ms. O'Connor served as Assistant District Attorney with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. O'Connor operated her own law practice handling criminal defense work and matrimonial/family law matters.
