Stephen M. Babinecz
Mr. Babinecz joined Cullen and Dykman shortly after graduating Pace Law School and was admitted to the New York State Bar in January of 2010. Mr. Babinecz’s main practice areas focus primarily on general tort claims and asbestos litigation defense.
Mr. Babinecz handles general liability torts claims involving personal injury, motor vehicle accidents and property damage. He has experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions before the Court as well as attending court conferences and defending depositions in relation to these matters. Mr. Babinecz has also represented all of the firm’s asbestos clients at depositions involving claims of products liability, premises liability, wrongful death and toxic tort.
Mr. Babinecz has helped prepare conference presentations for both the New York and New Jersey Self Storage Associations on legal topics including Lien Law §182 and how a self-storage company should properly handle the discovery of abandoned property when that property includes confidential and/or personally identifiable information.
Professional & Community Activities
In the Spring of 2008, Mr. Babinecz gained valuable experience through the New York City Bar Association, City Bar Justice Center where he worked on a Pro Bono project involving safe haven and asylum rights
Honors & Awards
- While at Pace Law School, was admitted to the Advanced Trial Advocacy curriculum in the Fall 2008 where he represented Pace Law School at the 2008 Texas Lone Star Trial Advocacy Competition (San Antonio, Texas) and ABA Labor and Employment Trial Advocacy Competition (New York City).
