Steven J. Robinson is a partner in the firm’s Banking and Financial Services department. He represents commercial lenders in connection with real estate and asset-based lending. Steven has broad experience with loans secured by multi-family dwellings, commercial office buildings, shopping malls, and mixed-use properties, as well as construction lending and secured transactions.

In addition to commercial lending, Steven has extensive experience in the area of creditor’s rights. He represents clients in the negotiation and drafting of loan workout agreements, as well as commercial and residential foreclosure litigation. He also represents creditors in related bankruptcy cases.

Steven also regularly advises lenders on a wide range of regulatory issues. In addition, he has represented title insurers in claims matters, negotiated commercial lease agreements on behalf of landlord and tenants, and represented buyers and sellers in connection with real estate and business asset acquisitions. Steven served as a Senior Attorney with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation during the banking crisis of the early 1990s.
